TRAINING

Since the Value Jet incident and most recently the September 11th tragedy the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) was created to police the transportation industry. The DOT/TSA has more dangerous goods Special Agents than ever before and sooner or later they will be requesting your training records.

Dangerous Goods Training is mandatory by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), International Maritime Organization (ICAO) and most importantly US DOT (CFR 49).

Our training sessions are divided into four (4) categories:

Awareness/Orientation Safety Training.
This is a two (2) hour session designed for the warehouse personnel and covers first response procedures as required by OSHA & EPA, methods and procedures for avoiding accidents, measures to protect the employees. Train-the-Trainer program is also available.

Function-specific Training.
An eight (8) hour class designed specifically applicable to the functions the employee performs. This course includes Awareness/Orientation Safety Training.

Initial and Recurrent Training, IATA, ICAO & 49 CFR
This class is a three (3) day session. The participants after successfully passing the test will be able to properly use the applicable regulations IATA, 49CFR. This class includes Awareness/Orientation Safety Training. See Training Guideline below.

IMDG, 49 CFR OCEAN TRAINING
The International Maritime Organization training focuses on regulations for the handling and transportation of ocean freight.

Certificates will be awarded for those that have successfully passed the final examination.
Recordkeeping is also a must; it is a requirement of 49 CFR for those that take the course to maintain training records.
